Bewerley Park Centre For Outdoor Education
Activities
Bewerley Park is ideally situated in its own extensive grounds in the
heart of the Nidderdale AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), just
outside the Dales Market town of Pateley Bridge, near Harrogate. The
surrounding area includes the Yorkshire Dales National Park and contains
magnificent moorland, gritstone and limestone scenery, rivers, reservoirs
and small lakes, lending itself to the provision of a wide variety of
outdoor activities.
Nidderdale
also offers endless opportunities for further study with particular
emphasis on Geography, Geology, Biology, History, Art, Archaeology,
Field Studies and Environmental education. Specialist outdoor activities
include climbing, sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, raftbuilding, caving,
orienteering, hillwalking and mountain biking. The Centre has also developed
a variety of team challenges and initiative exercises suitable for all
