Canoeing Courses
The following courses are being run this year by the Outdoor Education Service
If you wish to attend any of the courses, please download an information request form, (Click Here), complete it and send it to the Centre running the course.
All our paddling courses are staffed by fully qualified professional coaches and will be delivered in locations relevant to the course concerned. All specialist equipment and clothing such as waterproofs, wetsuits, buoyancy aids, boats etc is provided by the Centre, however if you have your own equipment, you are always welcome to bring it with you.
The cost of all our courses includes full board and lodging, all instruction, transport whilst at the Centre and the loan of all equipment. For those staying residentially, all bed linen is provided, but please bring your own towels.
Introduction to Open Canoe
For those of you with little or no canoe experience, this is a great opportunity to get in and have a splash! (Hopefully not literally!)
Introduction to Open Canoe Camping
This weekend is a great opportunity to learn the fundamentals of camping whilst traveling with a canoe. The original method of canoe use.
Introduction to White Water Canoeing
This weekend will be an ideal opportunity for those who have done a little paddling before to venture onto moving water. The course is most likely to take place on the Rivers Esk and Ure, giving a grade 2 paddling experience. For further information, please contact East Barnby Centre

BCU UKCC 4* Canoe Training
This course is designed to meet the requirments of the new UKCC 4* Training. Please ensure that you have met the BCU requirments for this course before booking a place. For further information, please contact East Barnby Centre.
