It offers fully central heated hostel style accommodation for up to 26 people comprising: 2 large dormitories (8+12 beds), 2 smaller first floor rooms for staff or families (3 beds each) and 3 toilet and shower areas with wheelchair access.
Our History
In its turbulent history Great Fryupdale has been a Jurassic sea populated by dinosaures, an Ice Age lake, a Bronze Age swamp, a site of Medieval mining and Victorian iron foundries.
Now it is back to what it was in Viking times when the Norsemen named it after their favourite goddess. 'Freya's Valley' is once more a quiet pastoral backwater waiting for you to come and get away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.
Please note that Great Fryupdale Centre is administered from the nearby East Barnby Centre and all enquiries should be directed there.
