With it’s origins in Hawaii, Stand-up-paddleboarding or SUP, has been around for hundreds of years and was one of the original forms of surfing. In recent years it’s gained in popularity worldwide and there’s now a number disciplines including; racing, touring, and of course surfing. Whatever you’re goal, the best place to learn is on flat water and the River Esk provides the ideal learning environment.
For young adults and those with some more experience it’s great to be able to progress onto the sea either for some coastal touring on those still summer days or if there’s a small wave, put your balance to the test and get a taste of the surf.
