Themed days for primary children
Many schools have a thematic curriculum or topics that can be enriched through learning outside the classroom. Whether it’s as an inspirational starter, or end of topic review we pride ourselves in being able to work closely with you to design a truly meaningful and enriching learning experience for children of all ages.
Past themed days have included; Exploring Coasts, Pirates and Dinosaurs.
Themed days for teens
We’ve worked closely with a number of schools to deliver a range themes in the outdoors, ranging from art and design to science. One topic that we’ve been involved in recently is ‘Wind & Waves’ which was planned for KS3 ‘gifted and talented’ students. Through the course of a few days they investigated the power of the wind in and waves in the natural environment and explored examples of how these can be harnessed. The main aim was to provide mental challenge whilst developing the skills of collaboration, communication and problem solving.
Themed days for young adults
In recent years we’ve been approached by higher education establishments to support them in enriching their curriculum. Whitby Community College Art students undertook an ‘Andy Goldsworthy’ style project to use natural material and colour to produce completely natural works of art.
Whatever your subject and ideas please get in touch to discuss how we can support you in enriching your curriculum through the outdoors.
