East Barnby Outdoor Education Centre
Welcome to East Barnby Outdoor Education Centre.
Located in the North York Moors National Park, close to the Heritage Jurassic coast and the picturesque town of Whitby, East Barnby is ideally situated to deliver any course. With over 30 activities to choose from, our adventure and field study activities encourage teamwork, problem solving and effective communication, combined with real adventurous experiences.
Our excellent resources and experienced teachers and tutors are crucial to the way in which we work. We aim to provide a differentiated programme, negotiated before your visit, which will provide active and inspirational learning opportunities for all who attend the Centre or use our Outreach facilities.
Our aim is to provide you with a first class experience, whether it's a first time field studies residential or expedition training. We endeavour to provide opportunities that are full of learning, adventure and challenge, but flexible enough to take into account the weather and the needs of the group.
Take time to browse through the website, then ring or email us with any questions. We are always willing to come and visit you to provide input at parents meetings or for you to come and visit us yourself.

"The input from Centre staff is outstanding and is improving year on year. It has been an extremely enjoyable and worthwhile week for our students. The quality of provision from the Centre and staff has been excellent. In the present financial climate parents do not realise the true value of the experience that students have here." - Bedale High School 2009
