Humphrey Head Centre for Outdoor Education
Location

The centre is located 3 miles to the west of Grange over Sands on the edge of Morecambe Bay. It is close to the Lake District National Park, within 40 minutes drive of the Coniston, Langdale and Windermere areas.

20 minutes away is Grizedale forest which contains a visitor centre and facilities for walking, mountain biking, orienteering and a high ropes adventure course.

Also nearby are the limestone hills of Hampsfell and Latterbarrow which provide views of Morecambe Bay and the Lake District mountains.

Across the Kent estuary near Arnside is the RSPB reserve of Leighton Moss.

There is a railway station at Grange over Sands (3 miles from the centre) or Kent's Bank (1 ½ miles from the centre). There is no public transport to the centre but arrangements can be made to meet parties arriving by train.
