We believe that children of all abilities have the right to learn and to have fun whilst doing so, in a safe but challenging environment.
We are proud to be involved with the SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and ‘Aiming High for Disabled Children’ projects. This has enabled us to develop our Centres’ adaptive facilities, provide specialist staff training, and expand our range of inclusive equipment. Most importantly it has had a massive impact on the numbers of children with additional needs that have been able to access outdoor learning opportunities at the Centres.
Some of the adaptations include:
- Wheelchair Ramps
- Accessible Bathroom with mobile hoist & height adjustable change/wash bed
- Accessible minibuses with wheelchair lift
- Inclusive indoor climbing wall with wheel chair abseil ramp (EB)
- Specialist canoe seats and supports
- Accessible tandem and wheelchair cycles
- Inclusive sailing
